Carlton Hotel

Location. Location. Location. As we drove down from Venice, we booked a stay here! Mom wanted to be near the beach and near the beach we were! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room itself had all that we needed, including a fridge, which took us a day to realize that we had! Having a buffet breakfast included ensured you started your day well fuelled. The beach is directly across the street, as are numerous restaurants and dining options. The path, which travels along the entire beach, is welcoming to walkers, runners and cyclists! If shopping is your thing, you are a few steps away to some wonderful options, including glorious cafés!

Very good location, close by many restaurants and bars, and some rooms with sea view. Had a room on the top floor, a little balcony with beautiful view, though rather small. It was neat and clean, a bit dated. Mini bar was empty, a vending machine available in the corridor. The corridor floor though needs to be refurbished, it is an old, ugly and very dirty carpet where the other floors' were renovated and look more modern and clean. The breakfast is nice and with plenty of choice, the staff attentive and friendly.

The hotel was not clean. The first impression as you are walking down the hallway to the room, the rugs are absolutely FILTHY! The room was not as clean either, extremely dusty. Air conditioner was not working. They shut it off to save energy. The only problem was, you couldn’t open the window properly. The first night, the window/door to the balcony came off the hinge. We had to prop it up with the suitcases to keep it in place. The next morning the hotel staff re-attached the window to the hinge. They new exactly what the problem was when we mentioned it to the front desk clerks. Good location! Beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea! Convenient to beach access and walkways. Restaurants were within walking distance. Breakfast was good! The hotel restaurant was closed even though when we got there the menu was posted on the door with hours of operation. Staff was friendly. Parking was available with a fee.
