Came to NYC to participate in a performance at Carnegie Hall. It is directly across the street from Carnegie. The staff was beyond helpful when we arrived late due to traffic. Parking is right next door with a discount if you get your stub stamped. The room is small but extremely well laid out. The huge pro was a VERY comfortable bed. Clean and modern furnishings. The cleaning staff is so accommodating and polite. Breakfast is part of the service provided. The area to eat is small. So get ready to meet your fellow travelers in a cozy atmosphere. Well stocked breakfast with an attendant keeping things cleaned. Big welcoming smiles and greetings when you arrive and also when you leave from the front desk staff. Will definitely be staying here again if any future visits to NYC happen.

Small hotel near Carnegie Hall, with a view of the back of Carnegie Hall and its renovation project. Quiet by New York standards, but earplugs are a good idea if you are a light sleeper. WiFi worked very well, robust continental breakfast, wine and cheese reception: these more than justify the facility fee. The room was extremely clean, and ingeniously uses every bit of space for storage or sitting at a desk. (Typical small New York room.) The bed was very comfortable and the linens and towels were of high quality. The staff were exceptional, from the front desk personnel to the housekeepers. They were friendly and very helpful, something I haven't uniformly seen in New York.

This hotel is simply way too expensive! The rooms are too small, the breakfast is just average, and the service leaves much to be desired… I stayed at the hotel for a week in April this year. During my stay, the cleaning staff entered my room while I was out and mistakenly threw away a shopping bag worth around $250. When I reported the incident to the shift manager — who was absolutely wonderful (she had red hair, but I forgot her name) — she did everything she could to help but unfortunately couldn’t locate the bag. She escalated the issue to the hotel manager, who later emailed me claiming that I must have thrown the bag away myself. In other words, she blamed me for what happened. I’ve been trying to speak with her ever since, with no success… It’s truly disappointing that a 5-star hotel operates this way. When you’re paying $2,000 for a week’s stay, you expect better treatment — not the kind of service you’d get at a hostel in Brooklyn. Aside from the hotel’s great location, there’s really nothing good I can say about it. And that’s a shame.
