This was the nicest hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in. Very upscale, very clean and neat. The elevators worked really really well. The exercise room was well appointed with functioning equipment it was very nice. But the the rooms were over the top large and well appointed. The restaurant, Wellington's was very good too. The food was prepared well and the wait staff were attentive and efficient. We will certainly stay there again and I recommend the Carnegie to anyone who wants a very special experience.
I loved our stay at the Carnegie. It was quiet, clean, and the rooms were lovely. It isn’t very modern (no Roku, older bathrooms and wallpaper), but it is well maintained and charming. All of the staff I encountered were incredibly nice. Parking was easy, the pool is quiet and clean, and it has a very classic atmosphere. I highly recommend, especially if you can be on the 6th floor with the big, beautiful windows.
For $300 a night I expected more. 2 flat pillows, ripped bedding and a full conversation with the neighbor rooms. Also.. again for $300 a night, I expected a water in the room. Nope gotta pay $2 per tiny bottle here. Bathrooms lovely, the rest of the room looks like your grandma's run down house honestly. Even the TV isn't a smart TV. Original carpet probably and corduroy couch I think I had in my grandma's basement. The furniture in the rest of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous, we price checked the chairs on our room floor outside the elevator.. $4,698, is that why I have to pay for water? The AC worked most of the time but certainly not through the night. Staff was very pleasant. Food at the restaurant was good although $23 for an omelette and coffee lets you know where you're at. Wait staff very good. Definitely won't be staying here again though. Almost forgot, be prepared for the multiple dogs to sing you the song of their people... At all hours.
