Carnelian Muscat Airport Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a good experience. The building is new, and the service was commendable. The reception staff and other employees were friendly and attentive. I had an issue with my TV, and when I called the reception, the service team promptly resolved it, which was impressive. However, I did encounter a few downsides. The comfort of the room was disappointing—both the pillow and the bed were extremely hard, making it the most uncomfortable sleep I’ve had in a hotel of this standard. I visited the swimming pool area and found the bathroom there in a terrible state. The smell was unbearable, as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Additionally, when I tried to call reception for extra towels, my calls went unanswered despite multiple attempts. Eventually, I had to call the kitchen, and they brought the towels promptly. While there are some issues with comfort and mismanagement, the overall experience was positive, and I might consider visiting again if these concerns are addressed.

Honestly, my stay here was frustrating. First, they gave me the wrong room when I checked in, and to top it off, it had a bad smell. Not a great start. After switching rooms, I realized the phone line didn’t work, so every time I needed something, I had to go down to the front desk--super inconvenient. Then there was the noise. The neighboring rooms were way too loud, and the hotel didn’t seem to do much about it. On top of that, they started drilling and maintenance work at 8 AM. Who wants to wake up to that on a trip? Overall, not a great experience. Definitely expected better.

Zero hospitality and welcoming..all the staff ignoring uour presence. They are very late in everything check in, taking luggage, answering phone etc Rooms need maintenance. Changed the room twice. AC very noisy.wifi so bad Overall very bad experience..I don't recommend
