Carnoustie Golf Hotel

We stayed here to play four rounds of golf over five days. Our room was upgraded and I was very grateful. The bar and spa/pool were great. Service was excellent. Disappointment for me was the food menus in both the bar/restaurants. Limited vegan/vegetarian options and I sent back a really poor vegan burger which wasn’t cooked well. I suppose if you are a meat eater the food is great. I think the venue would benefit from more vegetarian/vegan options. But overall I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

Great location and good facilities. Only had drinks a couple of times but the staff seemed under pressure, especially the bar staff. A single person expected to serve a queue plus deal with the waiting staff service diners their drink choices too. The bar staff were very good and efficient but were clearly under pressure

Very disappointed with my last visit to hotel in May to celebrate my Golden Wedding anniversary..on arrival we asked for an upgraded room and paid an extra £40 for the 2 nights asking specifically for a walk-in shower...on arrival at the room it was a shower over bath !! no bath towels!! half a toilet roll!!..forward onto the dining room for lunch,as my wife is Gluten Free she specifically asked for a Gluten Free roll the order arrived with an ordinary roll !!forward onto evening meal specifically told waiter her dietary requirements but lo and behold the wrong order again!!although the issues were sorted I would have expected a correct 1st time from a supposedly top class hotel.
