Carpe Diem Boutique Hotel

We spent 3 nights here in a deluxe room in March. The location in Old Town is perfect. We parked at the port (free) and walked about 10 minutes to the hotel. The staff were welcoming and helpful from check-in until the moment we left. The room wasn’t large, but most European hotel rooms aren’t. The view from the deck was positively charming. The bed was incredibly comfortable and linens so soft - best we experienced during all our time in Greece. The breakfast system is a little different in that you place your order the evening before. However this works out well for us. The food was excellent and we always had exactly what we needed. The location of the hotel was great - walkable to everything we needed. It was so nice to step out the door and be at the sea, or a restaurant, or a gelato shop, in less only a minute or two. One thing of note: being in the middle of old town, with all its perks, also means more of the noises of old town and sounds of the city. If you are looking for more quiet, this may not be the perfect place for you. This is by no means the fault of the hotel - just a byproduct of the location itself. I slept with earplugs in and it was no problem.

If I could give a higher rating I would. Everything about Carpe Diem is wonderful: our room (Suite) was spotless and well decorated, the staff were all exceptionally friendly, the breakfast was delicious, the little touches were so appreciated and the location in the old town is perfect. The family-run feel is lovely and it is clearly a much loved and well organised business. We couldn't have chosen a better place. Thank you!

The room was clean. But my (standart double room) room was small. The breakfast was prepared personally. I filled some option for breakfast and they cooked and served my breakfast. Staff in reception very kind and smiling.
