5/5 for us! What can I say?!! This hotel was truly breathtaking, tranquil and the views were something you only dream of! We visited Carpe Diem for our honeymoon, we upgraded ourselves to the Master Suites with a heated pool (although, not sure if it was heated) however, we visited during a heatwave so the coolness of the pool was welcomed. Our room (203) had perfect sunrise & sunset views. We enjoyed each morning with a complimentary coffee from the Nespresso machine (found in the room) taking in the views from the seated area on the balcony. Each room had its own sun loungers so no need to leave the room as we could follow the sun to catch a tan from the balcony. The rooms are exceptionally clean, the bed was comfortable, we enjoyed listening to music on the bluetooth speaker whilst we got ready in the evenings. Breakfast was AMAZING! Every morning a new menu, we sat outside & inside the restaurant. Again, the VIEWS!! The scrambled egg was beautiful and you must try the mini cheese pies!! There is a lovely infinity pool that you can use. As well as a gym - although being our honeymoon this was not used or visited. The staff here can't do enough for you. Really attentive, polite, friendly, helpful! Very welcoming. Pyrgos is a small town nearby the hotel with plenty of restaurants to go dine, should you not be using the fine dining at the hotel - please be warned you have to climb a steep hill once leaving the hotel. We enjoyed our stay so much that we have already discussed returning on our wedding anniversary.

We enjoyed our stay at Carpe Diem in August 2024. The service was excellent. The breakfast was delicious and Maria was an amazing host. Able the bartender was one of the best bartenders and greeted us like family. He was friendly and made us feel at home. We loved the staff, food, room and location. It was 5 stars!!!

We stayed here for a 11 nights and had a lovely time. From arrival I thought wow what a place beautiful and everything on the pictures. We were greeted by Zoe who was lovely and sweet and we sat down and was offered a drink by Mary while we waited a short while for our room to be ready. Once we were aloud in our room first impression was just beautiful and very stylish. We were also upgraded from a Junior suite to the honeymoon suite which was a little bigger and wasn’t overlooked which was just perfect. The next day we had went down for breakfast and which was in a beautiful area overlooking Santorini and the views were just amazing. We then had a selection on different things we could have and we were offered tea or coffee. The only down side was we were only ever offered one which sometimes I would like maybe two. We also were given a tray of bread but would have been nice to have toast rather than just plain bread with the select of condiments. But overall the breakfasts were very nice. Next thing I noticed was in our room there was a notice on the bed about towels and bedding, it said they change the bedding every 3 days but only changed ours once over our 11 night stay which was a little disappointing. We also also had the room cleaned daily but twice we were left with no bath mate. The cleaner also never cleaned the floors, because in the bathroom there were dirty marks around the sink area which were there throughout our stay and I wiped the area a few times. So cleaning needs to be improved a little. Also on our last day we had to be checked out of our room by 11am but we weren’t being picked up until 6.30. So we spent most of the day around the pool area. When it was time to have a shower and get ready for our flight home I noticed they had a outside shower and not a private one so my partner and I had to have a shower with our swimwear still on which isn’t really ideal. There also wasn’t really a proper changing room just male and female toilets. There was a electric point but behind the door so was very difficult to blow dry by hair as wasn’t by the mirror which was a very strange place to have it and would have been better by a mirror. Also there wasn’t any air con in there so the door was kept open. So overall it was a lovely hotel but I would say there needs a slight improvement in a few areas to make it a 5 ⭐ so would give it a 4 ⭐ plus. I would definitely stay here again if they improved the shower/changing area as that was slightly stressful.
