Carrick Hotel Camogli Portofino Coast

Good hotel but should not be a 5 stars. The staff are very helpful and kind and the location is great, but the building is not amazing. Moreover, you have to pay an extra 50€ per day to park your car there and the breakfast included is very basic (breakfast dishes like pancakes are extra charge).

Very disappointing stay for 5 star hotel (which is not!). We stayed at Paradise Suite a larger room with 2 kids. The room was soaked in cigarette smoke. When I brought it up to the reception my concerns were brushed off. I asked to speak to the manager of the hotel and I was told he would be only available after 2pm. Even though the manager (Guiseppe) was seating in the small room behind the reception. He refused to come out. I asked for his work contact information and the receptionist refused to provide it to me. Very inappropriate for a “5 star hotel”. The room was soaked in smoke. It felt to me someone lived there long time who was a smoker and they were aware of the issue but they were still comfortable and renting it out to guests with toddler. My attempt to speak with the general manager was unsuccessful. He never called me or email me even though I made it very explicit that I wanted to speak to him

One of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve ever had. I had high hopes for Carrick Hotel, but it turned out to be a truly upsetting experience. We were given a room with no windows — it felt suffocating and claustrophobic — and when we asked to change it, the staff simply refused. The hotel was dark, gloomy, and lacked any warmth. What hurt most was the receptionist’s attitude — instead of helping, I felt mocked and dismissed. Breakfast was also far below expectations. I left feeling drained rather than rested. I would never return, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
