Cartel House Hotel On Waterkant

My absolute favourite place to stay in Cape Town! Cartel has such uniquely styled rooms - I’m obsessed with the decor! Every little detail is thought out too - from the retro mini bar fridges to the quirky bedside additions! Situated in De Waterkant near all the trendiest coffee shops , restaurants and stores , a stone through away from the V&A , and a short walk to Bree & Loop street - you don’t really get more prime than that! The service is always outstanding at Cartel and you are guaranteed to feel completely taken care of, also the rooms are immaculate. Absolutely ideal for work trips as your office space is all setup for you too! I mean, what more could you want?

Nested in the heart of the mother city, the Cartel House is possibly Cape Towns best-kept secret. As a business traveller who needed short term accommodation, I was pleasantly surprised at not only by the immense attention to detail in the decor but their ability to give each hotel room a personal feel. From the personalised greeting card to the comfortable bed, they truly made my stay a beautiful one. This is definitely my preferred hotel every time I visit Cape Town !

I know Cape Town very well and have stayed at several hotels and guest houses around the city. I have to say 71 Waterkant is one of my favourites. I had the pleasure to stay for one night with my partner and we had a wonderful time. We stayed in the Coal Room, which is beautifully decorated and furnished with a (VERY) comfy bed, vintage pieces and a super, large HD smart TV. We were well looked after with delicious snacks and a minibar in the room. The hotel also offers a yummy buffet breakfast in the kitchen. The hotel is perfectly located in the CBD, near a couple of popular restaurants and bars. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming down to the Mother City for work, play or longer stays :)
