Carul din Stele

The location is simply lovely. The vintage look is very well made, the staff are nice and professional and the traditional romanian food is great. If I had to find a fault it would be the placement of the establishment on a very busy and high speed four lane highway. But most of the outdoor space is behind the buildings so the noise is not a big problem.

Today I had the misfortune to order a pork steak with potatoes. Normally the food here used to be very good but today the unthinkable happened. Instead of being served what i asked for,I was served obvious leftovers from plateaus that other tables ordered and when confronted with it, the waitress literally ran away. Unacceptable behavior from a restaurant.

Terrible service - no one speaks English. In the restaurant - the staff behaves arrogantly. There was sand in our salads (I broke a tooth). As there was an event - an orchestra was engaged, but the music was too loud, upon asking to move to another quiet free table - we were rudely refused. There is a lot of broken furniture in the rooms. The water in the bathroom has an unstable temperature (my wife got burned). A fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and we evacuated and the staff laughed at us and said this happens a lot.
