Caruso A Belmond Hotel Amalfi Coast

I can only comment on the Caruso Grill restaurant therefore only writing purely of that experience. My husband and I eloped during our Italy trip and stayed in Ravello. Upon deciding on what to do for our wedding meal, our wedding planner provided a list of restaurants and were impressed with what Caruso had to offer with our planner booking this on our behalf. After our elopement, we arrived to a lovely front of house who congratulated us on our wedding day and took us up to the restaurant. I have to say, Caruso has the best views of the Amalfi Coast out of the hotels. Absolutely stunning. From being seated and until we left, it was never brought up again nor was anything done out of the ordinary to commemorate a special occasion. Just the same as very diner which is absolutely fine however upon reading reviews of them doing stuff for people's birthdays, it did leave some disappointment that there was no acknowledgement whatsoever other than from the front of house. Our servers were so kind and diligent and the meal itself was absolutely incredible. We had the Steak Florentine which was perhaps the best steak I have ever had! One other point I do have to mention was upon leaving. My husband and I opted to pay with cash as a way to spend the remainder of our Euros. Our bill was large and we carefully ensured it was accounted for as well as leaving a considerable top for the stellar service we had received. The gentlemen (not a server) took the money and began counting quite aggressively to ensure it was all there despite us saying thank you and to keep the change. Not even a thank you given back and still counting the money in front of us was a bit disrespectful but no discreetness whatsoever. I don't write reviews however felt compelled to write one purely to highlight the amazing meal and service we had in such a beautiful town but also highlight our disappointment in the point mentioned above.

Belmond Caruso is a truly beautiful and romantic hotel. The views are absolutely stunning – it feels like you’re suspended above the Amalfi Coast. The setting is peaceful and elegant, and the entire property is impeccably maintained. Our room was lovely, with charming details and a comfortable layout, and breakfast each morning was delicious with plenty of variety. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic getaway if you’re looking for calm luxury in a breathtaking setting. While no particular staff member stood out during our stay, we had no complaints at all – everything ran smoothly, and the service was pleasant and professional throughout. Overall, it’s a gorgeous hotel with a serene atmosphere and incredible views. While we didn’t have any standout or exceptional moments, it was still a very special and relaxing stay in a stunning location.

A lovely place with prices to match but you know that when you book. There are so many other options in the area that equal on food but the glamour of this restaurant is undeniable and it’s everywhere from the tableware to the staff. A lovely dinner in a lovely place but I didn’t feel I was on holiday somehow might be that there was a massive wedding going on and lots of people in dinner suits. I can’t say anything bad it just wasn’t my favourite.
