Casa Bonita Hotel & Luxury Residence

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Bonita. We had initially booked for one night last minute, and ended up staying for seven! The staff was very friendly, and we’d especially like to thank Eduardo who was helpful. Breakfast is the same every day, but it’s very good and really fills you up! The restaurant is great as well — we loved the cocktails there. The room was clean, and we had access to the swimming pool, gym, and parking… nothing more to ask for! I would highly recommend staying here if you have a car and want to get to Oaxaca Center whenever you like.

I had high expectations - due to how they sell themselves online as luxury and their social media displays an image of a luxurious, special experience. It was not what we got. We arrived tired and looking forward to relaxing and our welcome drink. We were given a key and directed to a room. It did not look like the pictures, the bathroom was tired and dated, the floor covered in hair. Instagram shows their luxury new organic products - where were they? I had to ask for towels, water ( this never came), I had to ask where the bar and restaurant were. I had to ask for a bathmat, the wifi code and more. All we wanted to do was relax, shower and enjoy the place. We could not. I told the person on reception that we were not happy. He could not have been less interested. We had planned to dine there but decided to go out rather than spend more money and be disappointed further. We felt let down. I could go on . The next day I asked to speak to a manager - she offered to move us but we were leaving that day. She offer ed a spa treatment but we were moving on. Honestly, looking at other reviews we had clearly been given the worst room and had a bad experience in the most expensive room we have paid for. Sadly, time and money I will not get back. Do check you have a good room. This hotel clearly over promised and under delivered for us.

Everything went well but my last night staying they cleaned my room perfect then they went in again and left a plant I didn’t think much of it until I noticed on my flight back my money was missing from the bag I would leave inside the room.
