Casa Magdalena Hotel Boutique

Our experience at this boutique hotel was simply wonderful. From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us with a genuine warmth that made us feel right at home. The atmosphere is cozy, with charming decor that combines contemporary style with local details that give it a unique touch. 👍🏻

Casa Magdalena is the best place to host your events. The staff is 10/10, the facilities are clean, and the support is there to make your event unique. I highly recommend it. The food is exquisite and the waiter service is truly excellent. If you're looking for a place with gardens and a wonderful view, this is the place for you ❤️

This hotel started out as a cute place.. we arrived during the day. It went down hill after that. After coming back at night it was not an easy walk to our room. The walking area is not lit at all and dangerous. The stairs to our room had no light on and was hard to even find the key hole to open the door. There was a fireplace that a nice man lit for us but it went out in ten minutes. Wet wood. Then all night long we faught mosquitos in our room and bathroom making it hard to sleep. We were stung several times. The bathroom was terrible dirt, very old and in need of a full remodel. We turned on the faucet when we arrived and it leaked all over the counter. Then at 2am we had no water. Then we got up at 8am to shower and had no water . We had paid for 3 nights but after the first night I said enough and we left to get another hotel .we went to Maja two take a shower and spend the rest of the trip there. We return a little later to get our money back. As you know in Mexico no one likes to give money back for anything. It took over a half hour while the girl who was nice texted the manager. The manager crédited back my two days that I prepaid but charged me for our horrible one night stay with all the problems I described. The reason i also bring this up is that i have been in the hotel business with 4 hotels with 5 star ratings for more than 12 years. I know what should be expected as a guest and how to treat them. The proper thing to do was to credit the first night stay hoping we give them another chance. This is what my management team would have done but they didnt and now they get a terrible review to warn other guests about staying at this place. I would never stay here again and I visit Morelia 4 times a year from Ixtapa , Mexico. I highly recommend Maja Hotel and Villa Italia if staying in Morelia.
