Excellent location just 3 minutes from the Isla Mujeres ferry! Super easy to get around Cancun from here. Despite being central, the area is quiet and peaceful. Perfect for couples who want both access and calm. Definitely our go-to place if we return! Loved the design and little artistic details throughout!

This hotel really is a hidden gem. The location was perfect. It’s technically in the hotel zone, but you’re much closer to downtown than if you stay at the big resorts. The architecture is beautiful and a perfect backdrop for all your instagram-worthy vacation photos. The beach is just across the street. As you walk toward the beach, vendors will try to sell you stuff, but it’s convenient if you need to grab a souvenir or a pair of sunglasses (keep in mind, they are cheap knock-offs and not polarized). The room I stayed in was very spacious and had a balcony overlooking the lagoon and pool. The view was beautiful. You can’t swim in the lagoon because there are crocodiles (I didn’t see any during my stay, but they have warnings up). Ordering a DiDi (Mexican Lyft) was incredibly easy and they always showed up within 3 mins or less. The road is just off the main road, giving the drivers a convenient place to pick you up from. I stayed at an all-inclusive resort for my first few days and then switched to this hotel for my last couple nights and if I could do it all over again, I would have saved my money and booked this hotel for the whole trip. The receptionist recommended a restaurant just down the road (about a 5-10 min walk) and it was the best food I ate during my whole vacation. I highly recommend this place.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Tortugas. Beautiful, spacious and comfortable rooms, tastefully decorated with expansive bay views. Outstanding staff and proprietors. This is a refined and intimate space with a lovely infinity pool where you can enjoy the Cancun sunset. My partner swam laps at sunrise (which you can take in a Tortugas Beach across the main road). Limited dining options within walking distance but the trade off is a quiet, peaceful and soul calming space. Absolutely highly recommend this hotel and would love to return.
