A delightful stay at beautiful Casa Naila Hotel Boutique during Dia de Muertos ( Day of the Dead) 2024. Thank you to Yasmin for looking after us with such devotion and to Jeshua for your kindness and efficiency in setting up this booking. This is truly one of the most beautiful and best-located hotels in Oaxaca City. The rooms are extremely comfortable and stylish. Although our room had good windows for light, views were lacking, but this is made up for by a rooftop lounge bar and a beautiful foyer. Only “black mark”. Breakfast needs much improvement … however… there's a sensational bakery next door so if the hotel hasn’t changed to or added a continental selection of croissants and pastries following this review, you can pop next door yourself to gather provisions for a delicious start to the day!

Shower water temperature wildly fluctuated from hot to cold in the mornings. In the evenings, to have hot water had to run cold water for a while. We had a ground floor room, could hear front desk conversations and people passing our street window.

Utterly disgraceful hotel, we booked this hotel in June for day of the dead 2025, 2 weeks after booking we received a message saying they had put the wrong price down and we could keep the booking for a 350% increase. We contacted the hotel (who ignored us more than once) and yesterday they cancelled our booking having sold it elsewhere for a substantially higher rate. Clearly only care about money, so I’d look elsewhere for a more deserving hotel.
