Casa Prana is nothing short of a dream. I spent 3 unforgettable days at this serene lakeside sanctuary, and every moment felt like a retreat for the soul. From the moment I arrived by boat—greeted by the staff with warm smiles and fresh welcome drinks—I knew I had found a special place. The property is breathtaking: lush gardens that feel like a private botanical park, tranquil walking paths, and panoramic views of Lake Atitlán that make you pause and just breathe it all in. My suite was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered complete privacy with a terrace overlooking the water—a perfect spot for sunrise coffee or sunset contemplation. The service was exceptional. The staff anticipated every need with such grace and professionalism, making me feel both pampered and completely at home. The food? Absolutely exquisite. Every meal, whether by the pool, in the orchid garden, or on my private terrace, was fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and presented with care. Casa Prana isn’t just a hotel—it’s an experience, a sanctuary, and a place I’ll carry in my heart long after I’ve left. If you’re looking for peace, beauty, and heartfelt hospitality, this is the place. I’m already dreaming of my return.

I cannot even begin to describe how incredible this property is. It’s like someone cut out a piece of Spain and pasted onto the lake. The staff and service are outstanding. Thank you Juan Carlos for everything!

Casa Prana is beautiful, no one who visits can deny that. I thought that this would be one of my top favorite hotels visited but it is not even top 5. The room was beautiful, bed comfortable and views are amazing. I loved the feeling of walking around the property and feeling like the only ones there, definitely a plus was asking them to set up any of our breakfast, lunch or dinner in one of their areas. We truly felt like we were the only ones there. Cons: 1. The pool - the pool was dirty, I had to call 2 times for someone to come down and clean it up prior to us entering it. We were also told it was heated but it is not, disappointing with the price you pay for this hotel. 2. Food - food was good, but nothing out of this world. Limited menu. 3. Hot water - we had an issue with hot water, we called for it on two different occasions and they sent someone right away, it worked for a few seconds and back to cold water. We ended up taking cold showers for 3 days. The hot water issue was the deciding factor on us not returning to this property on our next visit. Again, this property is beautiful and I am glad we went but I won’t return.
