Casale San Pietro

As soon as we arrived we felt immediately at home. The vibe is so relaxed because of Elena and Joe who are the most fabulous hosts. The food is really delicious, regional and local, and the location is rural yet only 45 minutes from Rome. There's lots to do on site - the fabulous swimming pool, treatments and lots of fun games, just make sure you get Joe to show you the Greatest Game in the World.

What a fantastic holiday, Joe and Alana made us feel relaxed and special from arrival to departure. We loved the Casale, our room, our balcony,the pool, the grounds, the views the treatments and our rooms. We dined most nights at the Casale, had gorgeous meals and very good but reasonable wines; met some other kindred spirits and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. On the nights we ate out Joe & Alana made some very carefully thought out recommendations to suit our tastes. The days spent relaxing by the pool and having treatments were amazing. The days spent touring the region were special, again thanks to the advice and recommendations of Joe and Alana.

Lovely accommodation, great hosts and staff and two cats and a beautiful dog! We didn’t enjoy the towns close by as much as the towns in Tuscany and unfortunately for us the weather wasn’t very good so we didn’t get to make the most of the facilities i.e. pool etc. We had hired a car but you are able to hire their hotel car for the day if need be, which is a bonus! If you can afford it the group dinners organised by the hosts for all the guests were wonderful. It was a great chance to share stories over a meal. It’s a great place to spend a few days and just enjoy the accommodation. Sitting around the open fire reading and playing games was such fun or on the porch looking out onto the beautiful view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
