Casas da Levada

We loved our family vacation (4 adult couples) at casa de Levada; it has everything you may want, space, green, views, beautiful design, fantastic location, nice breakfast. We loved the spacious layout of our villa, plenty of space to chill on the couches or play games in the giant dining table kitchen area. There is also a beautiful hike we truly recommend that you can start by walking from the house (vereda do pesquiero, available on AllTrails app) and an amazing bakery Gato Real and restaurant (o Farolim) at 4 min from restaurant.

Let us start with all what was wonderful about this stay: The views are stunning and the garden with the infinity pool is just breathtaking. We totally fell in love with the cute cats that are roaming the domain. The house we stayed in totally fits the eco-vibe. However, it was also quite humid and dark. Something we don’t really like. Also, making your own breakfast in the morning isn’t really our thing, but if that suits your vibe, then this place is totally worth checking out. We do think the price is rather high compared to other hotels we visited that had the same or even better Facilities.

I feel like at this price point the daily cleaning should be the standard opt-out hotel approach and not the other way around. The breakfast ingredients delivery should happen in the afternoon in case you want to go on an early morning activity and again it should be opt-out if you aren't a breakfast person. Right now you have to ask every day for more food or cleaning and we couldn't do that because you can do that only during business hours and we usually left early and returned late. There were also a lot of insects in the house which is to be expected in this garden setting but my wife wasn't a fan so keep that in mind when booking.
