Beautiful place, again far from the busy life. Take a break and stay here. Very friendly and efficient staff.

Expensive. Everything costs extra money. We “paid” for AC, it was in listing, yet had no controllers for 3 rooms/units, we asked and were ignored. Place is dusty and AC was full of dust, assuming it hasn’t been on for a while. They ask not to do laundry in sink, and there’s no place to dry it, have to pay €10 for washing service, which wasn’t stated in listing. The drinks and food they offer is overpriced. I would rather walk 30+km and push to next stop! If you can, do it! Money here, money there, money everywhere. Uncomfortable sleep, have to leave windows open, it’s hot, bugs come in. Worst stay on Camino :) and the most expensive. The irony. The place seems to lack human compassion and hospitality, has a cold feeling to it. He even walked in a few times while we were there. we were waiting for this place too. Unfortunate.

I love writing wonderful reviews. Sorry , Quinta da Cancela has so much potential but we witnessed one employee attempting to do; check in, plumbing, air conditioning, bags, cooking, keeping track of snacks, keeping track of the washer and fees !!! Everything and I mean everything . By the end of the day he was ragged as we watched him sink lower and lower to the point of employees abuse! The owner manager is having guests feel empathy for the employee(singular) the place is so interesting but how the employees are treated cannot be more than a one!
