Missing some green area. Maybe a good suggestion could be to have some drinks service during the night, such as a glass of wine or champagne, beers, and soft drinks. Beautiful lounge. Room was OK, but the view was to the neighbourhood. Parking available and spa under appointment of 45 minutes. I took a hot stone massage that was OK but not the level of others. Maybe specific stones to be made available for the service. In general the experience was OK.
To be honest, I must say that the experience of staying at this hotel was not pleasant at all. I was on a business trip and had to stay there for 15 days. Unfortunately I could not find any other hotel available due to Lolapalooza. Some things made me really upset, but let’s start with what bothered me the most: noise. There is a train line that passes right in front of the hotel and you can hear it everything there is a train passing by. Also, on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays there is a party that happens on the rooftop and the music/vibrations can be felt in the room until 2a.m. I was on a business trip so a good night of rest was only possible in the days where there was no party happening. You can get used to the trains though (contains irony). A second thing that really made me upset and made me feel even more uncomfortable than the noise was the prejudice that came from the attendants. Since they are used to deal with “””good looking and well dressed””” people, whenever they see someone with a more comfortable dressing code, their approach is different. It happened to me that one of the guys in the reception stopped me to ask in which room I was staying. I asked him why and he told me that it was for security reasons. According to what he said, there are people from outside of the hotel that may frequent the restaurant or the rooftop from time to time. To avoid any trouble, I just told him my room and moved on. When paying almost 200$ a night for a hotel room you do not expect this kind of situation to happen. Last but not least, after coming back from work, tired and in the need of rest, one of the days during my stay THERE WAS NO WATER. All showers were moved to the spa but of course you had to dislocate yourself from your room to the place where there were showers working and you definitely do not want that, specially after working for several hours. The good part about the hotel: it has a very charming architecture. Nothing else.
Hotel is small with poor service and limited service. The pool is very small so it gets easily packed. No towels were provided upon my request and the waiter never came back with my order. Breakfast is not buffet and portion sizes are very small. The bathroom gets flooded very fast and there was no toilet paper when I got in, I had to requeat it separately. Very Disappointing.
