Castel Monastero The Leading Hotels of the World

This might be my favorite place I have ever stayed at. I’ve done the Langham in the states, the Ritz, and countless other nice hotels. This one takes the cake. The rooms and amenities are outstanding, unique, and beautiful. The staff are also amazing. The restaurant is so unique and the food is exceptional. Manuela, Alessandro, the bar staff, and the front desk are all wonderful. I cannot recommend this place enough. Truly five stars from start to finish. This is a must visit.

Romantic resort in the countryside featuring 3 outdoor swimming pools and a large spa with extensive facilities. The buildings are historically significant and several centuries old. Rooms are well appointed and charming with modern bathrooms and amenities.

star — The worst hotel experience of our lives! We booked the hotel’s top 2 rooms a month in advance for my husband’s birthday and informed them it was a special occasion. What we experienced was a complete disappointment. At check-in, they asked which card to charge for the room I gifted to my husband — very rude and thoughtless. They placed a tiny cake in the room but didn’t even bother to include a candle. When I called the reception, they told me to come and get it myself. There was hair in the shower, and it took them 3 hours to clean it. The spa and gym were dirty and outdated — completely unusable. At breakfast, I waited 30 minutes for an espresso, and they failed to make scrambled eggs after 3 tries. We paid €1000 per night, and instead of a luxury experience, we were treated poorly by untrained staff. Don’t trust the photos. This hotel completely ruined our Tuscany trip.
