Wonderful castle hotel and village, delicious restaurant, excellent service. Highly recommend!
Lovely hotel set in a medieval fortified village ("borgo") with pool and two nice restaurants close by (the Bistrot in particular is excellent). The family room was a little bit tired but charming and spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially at breakfast, which we enjoyed every morning. Urbino and Gradara are a short drive away. The Montegridolfo museum about the WWII local fighting around the"Linea Gotica" was a nice addition to our stay.
The location is great. The hotel rooms being inside the houses of the small castle village is astounding. You must like the sound of crickets though, because they are extremely loud, so it's uncomfortable to be outside or inside with the windows open. We were excited for the advertised memory foam mattresses, but unfortunately we got a regular (hard) spring mattress (which was upside down at first, and the springs were poking in our backs) Furthermore very well renovated..
