A friend of mine decided to celebrate a wedding here and it was a success. (I was not the one getting married). It's a castle which is fully refurbished but keeps the "original" furniture and decoration. Rooms are big and spacious, breakfast is very yummy. BTW congrats to the main Chef because the wedding menu was spectacular and it's really hard to cook for 180 people. 100% recommendable for either having a wedding or visiting Urdaibai.
We had an amazing stay at Castillo De Arteaga! The ambiance was wonderful, and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room—very spacious and comfortable. The views from the terrace at the top of the tower are absolutely breathtaking. We also dined at the restaurant, and the experience was just as impressive as our stay. The food was delicious, and we especially enjoyed the desserts. Highly recommended for both a stay and a meal!
Very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a bit noisy. You hear the neighbours take a shower/use the toilet. It's also difficult to make the room dark, so I was awakened quite early due to the light entering the room. The bathroom is very spacious and the bathtub is excellent for two people! The location is amazing. A memorable experience to stay in a castle.
