Great for the lovers of history and antique interiors! I saw some comments complaining here about the pressure of water. Please keep in mind, that the property was built at 1765, so there is definitely will be some compromises due to the age. The hotel is located pretty close to all of the attractions, but still in a quiet place. Great restaurants with live music every evening. Interior designs are amazing! Staff is nice and friendly. Definitely would recommend!
A great experience. Large common areas, yet homey. Great room (though YMMV depending on which side one faces). Great breakfast but ... most impressive ... a great tavern type restaurant with superb different solo singers each night. A must-experience 2-hour treat. Will try again if back in Dublin.
Definitely charming hotel but it’s more like a dungeon rather than castle. Our tour company booked us in this hotel. The bed was comfy but room was so small. Hardly any space for your stuff. Bathroom was so small and shower even smaller with no water pressure at all. We stayed there for 3 nights and it was miserable. I don’t know how much they charged for each night but it wasn’t worth what the tour company charged us.
