Castlecourt Hotel Spa & Leisure

One star has most definitely fallen from the advertisement of the Castlecourt hotel for this is 5 star standard in every department. This hotel has the most friendly and welcoming staff of any hotel I’ve stayed in. Rooms are clean and freshly decorated, food is beautifully presented and tasty in a very efficiently run restaurant. To watch the staff work at breakfast is a delight. This is one hotel you have to visit if you want to be well looked after!

The hotel is very close to the city center. It has a very nice internal court with restaurants, so you can eat or drink outside being close to the hotel. Below the court there is a large covered parking, so you can park your car at the hotel. Staff is nice and welcoming. Our room was big, with 2 beds. The bathroom was big and clean. There was a very good wifi connection. The staff was coming 2 times each day to check the room, and in the afternoon they were leaving small chocolate (very appreciated). We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, it was good. We had also dinner once in the hotel restaurant and it was good as well. Overall the hotel is very good. In our room we had 2 beds. They were big enough so we slept together in one bed, however they were not really big, compared to other larger bed I had in other hotels, and they felt a bit short for me. I can't say they were not good, as the beds were of course very good quality, but I was not fully comfortable when sleeping.

Pros: It's a lovely hotel with an amazing spa. Breakfast was good and the location is great. Cons: Hotel rooms really need an air conditioning system of some sort. It's much too hot during the summer months. I understand it's a large cost but in the long it really would be a great investment. When it comes to functions like weddings, consider relocating non party going guests to quieter rooms, or at least inform guests of weddings or functions during their stay.
