Castro Marim Golfe and Country Club

Great resort located near the border of Spain featuring three 9 hole golf courses (mix and match); scenic views; friendly staff; and good food. We did not stay in the accommodations but they also look to be of good quality. The resort is close to miles of excellent beaches as well.

Wonderful! Staff were so friendly and helpful. The course is beautiful and we had an amazing experience. Would definitely recommend. 5 stars!

I Did not stay at the hotel but can only comment on the experience when coming for a holiday round of golf with 7 friends. The course was lovely and so was the lady who checked us in. Where this place falls off MASSIVELY is at the clubhouse bar and restaurant. The course was empty so we decided to have lunch after 9 holes. What a mistake that was. The guy behind the bar would move backwards if he went any slower. We waited an hour and 15mins for food. When it did come out we were missing things and received no apology. When confronted about the wait and missing items the barman got so defensive and dismissed us saying ‘it is what it is. The chef says you’ve gotten everything so there.’ We spent hundreds of euros there but will never return purely because of the service. The only manager on duty was the course manager and he himself says he doesn’t like the guy behind the bar because he’s forever receiving complaints about him. Won’t be coming back even though we go every year to Portugal for a golf holiday. Will make sure the agency we booked through knows this as well. Oh and we did complain through the resorts website, only to be ignored as well. Do not recommend…
