Catalonia Eixample 1864

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip. The hotel is right in the center, in 10/15 minutes walk you can reach all the main attractions that the city offers. The hotel is very well maintained and the staff was very welcoming during check-in. The rooms are not huge, they are in "classic" style, but they have everything you need, except for a support in the room to be able to work on the pc. Nice pool on the terrace, I have not personally used it but the environment is very nice. Excellent breakfast, you can find everything from sweet to salty. It also offers parking (for a fee) from which you can directly access the hotel. There is also a small gym for fitness lovers.

Lovely rooms and clean Nice decoration and lobby area Very small pool,we joked it was a fish tank size We stayed 3 nights with 4 rooms, every single person had issues with our room keys approx 4-6 times, we constantly had to go to reception to sort this as had no access to the room. Very poor customer service for this Hotel is a good location next to lots of restaurants and bakeries. 7 minute walk to metro

Not the best hotel in the Catalonia chain - noticeably worn out and with a poorly designed bathroom layout. Not quite the quality I expected for the price. That said, the location is excellent. My main issue was the door stopper in the bathroom, placed right in the only path to the toilet. I stepped on it multiple times - the pain was unforgettable. It’s like stepping on a LEGO, except it’s fixed to the floor and impossible to avoid. Definitely made for a painful stay. Breakfast was average, staff at the front desk and restaurant were okay, and housekeeping did a good job. The location is very convenient - centrally located, close to major transportation, yet tucked on a quiet street. I was traveling for business, but I’d say it’s also a great area for a recreational trip, especially if you're planning to explore the city.
