Catalonia Excelsior Hotel

I stayed at Catalonia Excelsior Valencia for a solo long weekend, and it truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I arrived, the team made me feel so welcome. The reception and bar staff were outstanding—friendly, genuine, and full of local knowledge that completely shaped my experience in the best way. A special thank you to Luca at reception, who went above and beyond every single day. He gave me tailored recommendations that felt personal and authentic—hidden gems you’d never come across online. His annotated city map became my most treasured guide throughout the trip and made discovering Valencia even more enjoyable. The location is perfect—right in the city centre, within walking distance of everything, but still peaceful and comfortable. As someone who has travelled solo quite a lot, I really appreciated the balance of comfort, convenience, and genuine hospitality this hotel offers. It was one of those rare trips where everything just worked out beautifully, and a lot of that had to do with where I stayed. Would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone—solo travellers included. I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully prepared, and the housekeeping service was excellent throughout. The breakfast was outstanding – everything fresh, high quality, and very well presented. The reception team was extremely helpful, especially Michael, who gave me great restaurant recommendations and made sure I had everything I needed. Overall, everything was smooth, professional, and very welcoming. I would definitely come back!

Absolutely excellent hotel. Service beats other luxury hotels in Valencia we have stayed in. Restaurant food well above expectations. Was the only hotel that was able to offer us a room during the Monday Blackout despite losing all systems power. Staff were exceptional and very helpful during the Blackout period. Highly recommended.
