Catalonia Porto

Couldn’t have asked for a better location, city centre but far enough off the main drag to be quiet and relaxing. We chose a balcony room which overlooked the pool and outside terraced area, again very relaxing. When sitting on the balcony any noise from the pool and bar was never intrusive and in the room with the balcony door closed you couldn’t hear any outside noise. The room itself was very clean and well appointed with a massive bed and lovely bathroom, couldn’t have asked for more. All the staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful. The complimentary bottle of bubbley for my birthday was a really nice touch and greatly appreciated. We probably didn’t see all we wanted to during our four days in Porto so the choice of hotel for our next visit is an easy one.

We stayed at the Hotel Catalonia for three nights in a garden terrace room. The room was a good size and had all the amenities. The breakfast that was included was a wonderful way to start the day. Porto is very hilly and walking was certainly a work out. It was easy to walk to all the areas that we wanted to see. The massage and spa was an added bonus. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly.

Hotel Catalonia offered a little slice of heaven in Porto. The location is quite central and within walking distance to many main attractions. The hotel is gorgeous and we enjoyed several hours sitting by the pool and taking in the bright Porto sun! We were impressed with the quality of the service and the incredibly helpful and pleasant staff. We loved ending our days in their spa, which was included each day of our stay. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any other travellers!
