Catalonia Punta del Rey

Have just returned from our 3rd visit and will be returning again next year. Our party was a family of 5. 3 adults and two children. Having stayed at the hotel before we know what to expect. The rooms are a little tired and you see the occasional cockroach etc. We found the hotel once again clean and tidy and the food was plentiful with a variety of different dishes. It’s worth noting you are able to extend the room up to 6pm if you have a late flight returning home. This is really helpful as you get the most from the last day. If you can’t extend the room you can book a room for half hour to have a shower before you leave. If you like entertainment it’s on all day and a show in the evening. One thing to note is the drinks are served in paper cups at the poolside bar for obvious reasons. You can take youre own plastic beaker to save using so many cups. The location may not suit all but there are busses or you can get a taxi that the hotel will phone for you. We usually get a taxi to the city to break the week up but usually just stay in the hotel with a short walk to the shops.

We had an unforgettable stay at this hotel during our honeymoon! We were given a wonderful room with a breathtaking sea view, and to our surprise, it was beautifully decorated for the occasion. We were welcomed with a drink and a lovely candy’s platter, which made us feel truly special. The breakfast was amazing – very generous, fresh, and delicious, with options available for those who are lactose-intolerant and even decaf coffee, which we really appreciated. The staff were incredibly friendly and always willing to help with a smile. Their kindness and attention made our stay even more enjoyable. We are very, very happy with our experience and would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a perfect, relaxing getaway!

Depending on what you pay it could be great value. We paid £500 each for flights, hotel all inclusive, transfers and luggage. For me, that was a great deal. The rooms are in need of an update but they're big in size, clean, comfortable. The walls are thin but we've been lucky to have quiet neighbours. The food is brilliant, the pool areas are also fantastic. Bar service can be slow on an evening but all in all everything is great!
