We had a fantastic time staying here in summer as a family with another family in a different cabin. Beautiful highland surrounds with kangaroos, birdlife, deer and frogs. Great cycling and mountain biking nearby and a superb restaurant and beer garden / schnapps tasting within walking distance.

We stayed here with a large family group in a few cabins and had a great time! It was the perfect nature retreat. I love their commitment to sustainability and eco initiatives, the guided nature walk, large spacious cabins and good bathrooms and kitchens. Our family enjoyed waking up to the resident roos, and birds and grilling in the evening. A good location to access Kosciuszko National Park. The only suggestions I would make is that we visited in late summer and experienced some colder temperatures, but the heating only works in winter. I get that from an environmental perspective, but make sure you pack warm socks and layers as we had some cold feet 🥶. It would have been nice to have the option to turn on the fire. Also be prepared for ants and be smart with your food!

Mixed reviews for this. I appreciated the ease of check in and check out. Sheets and towels were perfectly fine and the bed was surprisingly comfortable - a full King and not 2 singles pushed together. Location was also excellent and the vibe was quaint. I did find some issues with the accommodations which for $500 a night weren't quite what I would have expected. I also provided this detail as direct feedback to the accommodation providers. Who responded that "Had we been made aware of these concerns during your stay, we would have done our best to address them promptly to ensure your experience was more comfortable." Although I am sure this is well meaning, it was an unfortunate, somewhat 'victim blaming' response. Particularly as I was at the accommodation for only 42 hours, preparing for a wedding and had no intention on notifying on issues which should not have been issues only to have to have to then organise repairs during my time there - particularly to a bathroom, on a Saturday. Primarily, the shower head was broken and produced a poor spray. The use of the shower as per instructions (hot only) also led to a loud grating pipe noise (shudder) which was uncomfortable to use and listen to. The shower tap also had a part fall off (it was screwed back on). The apartment, although tidy, appeared (perhaps) not to have been used recently with some evidence of only a light clean/airing? before our arrival. Visual crumbs in the lounge, dust, and water marks on bathroom tiles - probably due to the over spray of the broken shower head, mould on the dishwasher drawer and a large dead spider which likely fell from the top of the door (dislodged after it was closed). The dishwasher also flashed an error and would not run as we had started it as per the check out instructions. I mentioned it to the staff when handing in the keys. I would recommend this accommodation but not for the price we paid for it.
