This venue is amazing, the place is nestled in a valley with stunning scenery and is very tranquil. The accommodation was on par with any self catering accommodation with everything you need to make your stay very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Only thing I can fault on our stay is that there dining area was not fully operational at the time of our stay, they only offered a Wednesday night dinner if 30 or more guests attended which in our case on our stay we had the dinner which was a good feed. Over all of you in the area it’s a worth while accommodation option. A very friendly kid venue with lots to keep the little ones occupied.
A beautiful and peaceful retreat — perfectly located just a short drive from the lively Gold Coast, yet nestled in serene, green surroundings. The facilities are good, the staff warm and welcoming, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped — everything you need for a relaxing stay. It is not new resort, but you will get everything you need for a holiday. If you're not keen on travelling far, there's a nice restaurant by the dam just a minute's drive away, offering breakfast and lunch with stunning views. For the evenings, a nearby pub provides the perfect spot to unwind. Resort restaurant is open only on Wed for dinner, but it has vending machines for drinks etc. Resort has facilities like boating, games, kids room, pool etc. And also offer tickets to various Gold coast theme parks. Resort has potential to introduce waste segregation near room and can request guests to cooperate. All in all, a fantastic experience — would definitely love to return!
We had a wonderful time. A sprawling resort teeming with Australian wildlife and surrounded by native forest. While we were there, we saw kangaroos on the resort, had encounters with many birds (kookaburras, cockatoos, bush turkeys, ducks) and even viewed some beautiful pelicans on the lake. There were also turtles and you could purchase bags of turtle food from reception. The unit (17) had a beautifully renovated bathroom and wonderful views over the large lake. You must have a car to stay at rhe resort as it is not accessible without one. While the unit was very suitable for those with mobility issues, the carpark for Units 11-19 was not. Parking spaces were at right angles to the units, situated on the side of a very steep hill. Although these units had beautiful views over the lake, those with mobility issues would be off requesting a unit with a flat car parking space. It is a real pity that the resort is up for sale.
