My husband and I spent our honeymoon with Cedar Spring Inn this past weekend. We absolutely LOVED our stay! The owners were very helpful and guided us to great wineries and suggested some great restaurants. They were there when you needed but did not intrude or hover at all. We were there during Hurricane Sandy- the owners stayed cool, calm and prepared. Thankfully we did not need to take any action, but felt prepared if we had needed to. The breakfasts were phenomenal. I must be careful as I am Gluten Free but Judith was able to accommodate and even offered to purchase some Gluten Free items. **(as a general rule, please let your hosts know ahead of time if you have an allergy or food preference so to give them ample time to prepare)**. The room was beautiful, clean and cozy. We felt very pampered as there was daily cleaning and a turn down service (with chocolates) every evening! Wine was offered nightly and since it was cold, a fire was crackling as well. We have already started talking about re-visiting and shared our experience with family in hopes they will also enjoy a visit to Cedar Spring Inn. We would recommend this to any person or couple wanting a calm, peaceful and cozy get away!
I am moved to write a most positive review of a recent stay at Cedar Spring Inn. Let me begin by saying what wonderful hosts Judy and Charles are right from the start. The property is very well kept . Our room was spacious , the bed quite comfortable, the shower was wonderful and the outside hot tub and pool very relaxing. The sweet treats on the bed each night were a nice touch. It has a perfect location in a country side and yet only 10 - 15 min drive from Charlottesville. I would recommend others to consider staying there.
2017 June: another excellent bed and breakfast experience. Room was upstairs, accessed from the inside, after dinner, we came back and found sparkling grape juice since Judy knows that we prefer nonalcoholic wine/beverages. Breakfast (first morning) was excellent as expected, small homemade baked bread, fried eggs and shredded cheese over hash brown potatoes and fresh cut peppers, and sausage. Judy always does an excellent job preparing the breakfast and Charles and his assistant(s) provide good service at breakfast time. 2016 June: Charles and Judy (owners) are very very nice and the property is very nice. You have to drive on a private dirt road/trail through a wooded area to get to the property.
