The staff are incredibly kind and hospitable. There are three swimming pools. We stayed at three different types of rooms. We loved the tropical rooms. The staff there is also much kinder. The main lobby rooms are nice but the air conditioners are old and it was never cool enough ay night. It says 4 star but it feels like a 5 star hotel. The breakfast is incredible offering both American breakfast and tons of Thai food options. There is an omelet station also. One of the best breakfasts at a hotel.
We stayed for 3 nights in a tropical deluxe room type. The room was clean neat and spacious. We were impressed by the room decoration. If you get a room on the first floor, there is an access to the pool. But for second floor room, you will get a pool view which is also nice. So make sure that you let the hotel know specifically if you have a preference. (It did not say during booking though, It only said the room is on the first floor) The minor thing staying in one of the tropical zone buildings is that the rooms are so close to the main road and noises from bike/car do really enter the room. A huge plus staying here is the hotel offers complimentary activities every morning and afternoon for both kids and adult activities. Also, free kayaks/ paddles upon availability. Three pools are clean and functional. Plenty of chairs around the pool. For beach, sand and water are not as good as Chaweng beach but still crystal clear. Shells are on the beach. So bare foot might not be comfortable. Overall, I rated very good for values.
Extremely disappointing experience. We booked this hotel because of the shallow pool with a swim-up bar — the main reason we chose this property for our 5-year-old child’s safety and our holiday enjoyment. This was clearly advertised in the booking, but upon arrival, we found it completely closed for renovations. No prior notice was given. The area we booked is now deserted, and the only alternative offered was a room next to a deep pool, which is unsafe for young children. When we requested a safer option, the hotel refused. This is misleading advertising and shows a lack of care for guests’ safety and experience. Families with kids — think twice before booking here. We would not have chosen this hotel if we knew the truth.
