This is my second stay in the hotel, and while it’s good value for the money, the hotel has seen better days. The breakfast has a good selection of medium quality food, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. If you’re looking for a decent location, with outdated but clean rooms, and good service, then I recommend this hotel for those criteria and the price. However, if you’re easily turned off by older, outdated rooms with fixtures that seem like they’re barely hanging on (and in some cases, quite literally), then you won’t appreciate this hotel.
Stayed here for 7 nights for our wedding anniversary which according to our travel agent was a four star hotel. We did not find this to be the case as calling it a boutique hotel does not make it four star. Our room was okay to sleep in at the end of each busy day but that was about it. Oh the bathroom lighting was good.
This hotel is not a 4 star hotel and the photos are deceiving. The common areas look very luxe but it’s actually really old. I booked a single room and it had a single bed and I could barely fit my luggage between the bed and the wall. The shower had mould around the taps and the shower gel dispenser was empty when I got there and never refilled in my 5 night stay. I paid the most of this accommodation out of my 6 week holiday and this was the one I enjoyed the least. You can also hear all the noise from the street so it’s hard to get sleep. There was loud banging noises for multiple nights around 11pm and they said there was maintenance work being done. The staff were friendly and the reception are there 24/7. The breakfast buffet was average but they would make a fresh coffee for you. The location was okay but if I was to have my time again I would book a bit closer to the Duomo and river because there looked to be more things happening on that side. Overall it photographs well (deceivingly) but I don’t recommend it.
