Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The reception was excellent and the service was outstanding. The Bluefin restaurant was very good, and the staff there were extremely kind and welcoming. I had such an enjoyable time with the activities available, and everyone was very nice and friendly, even in the restaurant. Special thanks to Amjad at the gallery restaurant and all his staff was nice and friendly , and Hanna at Best Dive for the water activities , they all made my stay so memorable. Also, the room service team who served me in room 108 were fantastic. The Best Dive experience was wonderful she was so kind, and it was such a lovely experience. The place is perfect for kids, very clean, and the service is great. I would definitely come back and repeat the experience. One small suggestion it would be great to have a bit more DJ music to liven up the atmosphere. The spa service is good as well . Highly recommended!

Very nice hotel. Been to Maldives many times but you dont get bored on this hotel because of the adults and kids schedule through the day. highlight: Monet from reception made our vacation exceptional cant thank her enough she was the highlight of our stay. Also Hanan and Yamin from diving center are the best they tried their best to give us great times at water activities. Had so much fun with the african guy at E zone during Karaoke night, thanks to him. Suggestion: provide bikes for guests for easier movement around the two islands. That would be great activity and easier to move around

We stayed 4 nights at the newly opened Centara Grand Lagoon Maldives. The location is beautiful and the speedboat transfer from Malé (about 40 minutes) was luxurious both ways. We booked a Two-Bedroom Grand Beach Villa, which was ideal for our family with young kids. While the resort has great potential, it’s not yet operating at a true 5-star level. Small details were missing. like no laundry bag or branded slippers and we didn’t have a dedicated point of contact. Communication was mainly through an app (HandiGo), but responses were often delayed. Unfortunately, we weren’t properly briefed on the villa’s inclusions. For example, the free 30-minute spa massage was fully booked by the time we tried to reserve it. The complimentary floating breakfast also required 24-hour notice, which we weren’t told in advance. The kids’ club and Centara Mirage waterpark were the highlight, our children (7 and 5) absolutely loved them. That part made the trip worthwhile. We had also arranged a birthday surprise for my husband (decor and cake), which was offered free of charge, but the surprise was missed due to delays, despite following up multiple times through the app and by phone. Service throughout the resort was inconsistent. sometimes fast, sometimes very slow. Dinner at The Gallery felt rushed, and our tandoori dinner experience was very slow, we have received our food an hour after we ordered, even though we booked it 3 hours ahead. Buggy service was also unreliable, with waits of up to 20 minutes at times. Overall, the resort is great for families with kids, but not ideal for couples or those expecting refined luxury. For the price (especially for a two-bedroom villa), I believe there are better options in the Maldives in terms of service and overall experience.
