We stayed at Centara Kata for 7 nights and had a fantastic experience. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a One Bedroom Suite, which offered plenty of space for our family of four (2 adults and 2 children). The room was clean and comfortable, with a lovely balcony overlooking the pool area—a great spot to relax. The pool area was a hit with the kids, especially the waterslide, which kept them entertained for hours. The adults appreciated the swim-up bar and the daily happy hour at 4pm, which was a nice touch. One of the highlights of the stay was the Friday foam party—fun for both kids and adults, and a memorable experience for everyone. The breakfast buffet was another standout. It was well-stocked with a wide variety of tasty options to suit all tastes, making for a great start to each day. A special mention goes to the wonderful staff members Aoy, Wut, and Kla, who went out of their way to make our daughter’s birthday extra special on our final day by singing "Happy Birthday" and presenting her with a delicious cake. It was a thoughtful gesture that truly meant a lot to our family. The only minor drawbacks were the shower temperature, which tended to fluctuate between cool and hot, and a stiff bathroom door that was a little tricky to close. However, these were small issues in what was otherwise a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. We would definitely recommend Centara Kata to families looking for a fun, relaxing holiday with great service and amenities.
We had the absolute best time at Centara Kata, it totally exceeded our expectations. It’s a really lovely hotel, it feels way more upmarket than you would expect from the online pics (which honestly don’t do it justice). The location is great, lots of nearby shops and restaurants and a short walk to the beach. Since we booked directly through their website, we got a better deal and we were upgraded to a family apartment with direct pool access, which was great. The pool was fantastic, with a huge slide, and a kids area, a volleyball net, we spent hours there. The buffet breakfast was delicious with lots of Asian and western options, eggs made on request, bacon, even smoked salmon (which costs a fortune here in Australia), lots of tasty pastries and even a separate kid breakfast area. The staff were fantastic, from the front desk, to the pool area, everyone was very helpful and professional, and just lovely. We were very impressed and are looking forward to coming back. Thanks so much!
We finally found the open, spacious family room we were looking for in Phuket, and it made our stay very comfortable. The resort itself is cozy and well-located in Kata, just a short walk to the beach. The surroundings were convenient with easy access to local massage parlors, shops, eateries, and transport. The resort had daily activities lined up for kids, which kept them happily engaged. There are two pools, one of which is more child-friendly with a slide and was always lively with kids. Rooms also come with a mini in-house kitchen for anyone who prefers cooking. Housekeeping is on request, which worked fine for us. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, though we faced two setbacks: 1. Food options were limited to Thai and continental — no Indian or vegetarian options were available 2. The shower design caused water to spray across the entire bathroom and, if not careful, even flow into the bedroom. Aside from these, the staff were friendly and very helpful, making the experience enjoyable.
