Located just ~2 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport and close to Aero City metro station, Centaur Hotel is a government-owned property originally managed by Air India and now under Hotel Corporation of India—spanning 12 acres of landscaped gardens, lawns, and peacock sightings. --- 🏨 Facilities & Services Offers 370 rooms and suites, with standard amenities like air conditioning, minibar, LCD TV, Wi-Fi, and in-room dining. Hotel amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, spa facilities (sauna, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath), tennis court, business center, restaurants (Indian & Chinese), coffee shop, and banquet/event spaces. --- 👍 What Guests Appreciate Convenient airport access: Perfect for early flights or short transit stays. Spacious and green grounds, often praised for serenity and garden atmosphere with peacocks roaming freely. Some recent guests praised helpful staff, early check-ins, and decent buffet breakfast. --- ⚠️ Common Complaints Maintenance issues: Numerous reports of mold, mildew, foul odors, peeling plaster, and even rodent sightings. One guest recounted developing a fungal infection from the environment. Inconsistent cleanliness: Several guests found damp carpets, cockroaches in rooms, and unsanitary bathrooms. Aging infrastructure: Reviews describe the hotel as dated and rundown—lobby, corridors, and guest rooms feel stuck in the 80s.

THE WORST hotel you can stay at. The only reason I’ve given it a 1 is because there’s no way to give it the -1 it truly deserves. A summary of the bullshit we had to survive: 1. You have to take your own luggage from the entrance to your room. There’s no such thing as service. 2. The room is poorly maintained, smells terrible. Some of the bathrooms smell like you’ve gone for a swim to the drain. 3. The water tastes SALTY! 4. The bathroom has no lock 5. The AC doesn’t work. At 10:30, we had to change the room because the AC stopped working 6. The room is filled with mosquitoes 7. The toilet shower jet has no water. 8. Our room didn’t have a key so we needed the staff to accompany us to the room when we wanted to enter it. If you have no other option for a hotel, please stay in your car. Hopefully the hotel will shut down soon for the greater good of mankind.

Once a celebrated five star hotel is now cannot even described as a fully fictional budget hotel. Rooms are old and look ignored maintenance for a long time. Staff is good but totally unmotivated. Bed sheets and towels are at least a decade old. Toilet is no where close to a star rated hotel. Toilet seat was so tall the a normal person has to climb on it. Water from the sink was salty. Shower head was full of rust and leakage all around. Such a beautiful building it would be once upon a time but today it’s just a ruin from the past. Restaurant is basic but food was okay. Please avoid if you’re booking this hotel with your own money.
