we had a great time. I was very positively surprised by the quality of the installations and the friendliness of the staff wherever we've been. Only small negative is that some activities (adventure, wild river...) can be quite crowded.
I recently stayed at this Center Parcs location and, unfortunately, found it a major disappointment. First of all, the park is enormous — yet offers surprisingly limited activities. Because of the sheer size, walking from the lodge to the central facilities is often impossible. You practically need a golf cart to get around. However, this creates significant safety issues: the roads are full of golf carts, making it dangerous for pedestrians. Even worse, some visitors allow their kids to operate the carts or drive them after drinking, adding to the chaos. The swimming pool was another letdown. Compared to other Center Parcs locations, it felt far too small and overcrowded. The slides are nothing special — no different from what you’d find in an average municipal pool. Service was poor as well. The staff were generally unfriendly, and barely anyone spoke proper English. As for the surroundings, they’re quite unattractive. Any interesting sightseeing spots are at least an hour’s drive away, so there’s little to explore nearby. Overall, this was a horrible experience for Dutch visitors like us. Perhaps it’s acceptable for local French families looking for a quick weekend away with low expectations. But if you’re hoping for a relaxing, enjoyable holiday with good facilities, friendly service, and beautiful surroundings, I’d strongly advise looking elsewhere.
Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Money We paid over €1300 for a 3-night stay in what was marketed as a VIP cottage, but the reality was far from “VIP.” The location wasn’t special, the design was outdated, and the amenities were basic at best. Everything felt old and worn down. Food was mediocre. Breakfast delivery was particularly bad—no warm items, no vegetables, and every day the fruit selection was limited to rock-hard kiwis you couldn’t even eat. Getting around the park was exhausting; the distances between areas are huge. They were asking €204 for a buggy for just two days, which felt like a complete rip-off. Access to attractions was ridiculously overpriced, and customer service was basically non-existent. English-speaking staff? Forget it. No one offered help or even tried to find solutions. We rented a bike for our son and it broke the very next day. When we tried to visit the cycling center for a replacement, we found it closes at 6 PM on weekends—while weekday hours extend to 8 or 9 PM. So we called the helpline, selected English, and—surprise—no one could actually speak English. We had to figure everything out ourselves. We also wanted to watch the Wimbledon final, but the smart TV in our room had no sports channels and couldn’t stream from our phone. We went to the forest lodge where they had a big screen, but the staff refused to let us mirror our phone. They didn’t even attempt to check with a manager or help in any way. All in all, it was a frustrating and overpriced experience. We wasted money and patience. For this price, you can find a true all-inclusive resort with better service, more activities, and a real sense of hospitality. Definitely do not recommend.
