Beautiful, peaceful, tranquil hotel. We had a room in the suites next to the Alkaline bar. Everything about the hotel was good including the pool, the breakfast (although it could get busy) and we enjoyed our food at the 1692 restaurant on our second night. The restaurant was fully booked on our first night and we tried the Albergaria do Lagos, which was very poor. If you can't get in the 1692, go to one of the other places on the main road instead.
We had to wait 45 min.after the oficial check-in time at 15h. There were people entering after 17h because the rooms were not ready!!! The receptionist didn't speak English but french and bad Spanish. The room was very small and the air condition did not work. What surprised me was that I have to pay additional cost for the indoor swimming pool!!! The building(Hotel Thermal) from outside is really old and needs painting. The outdoor swimming pool had only 20 chairs for all visitors from all hotels. The only nice is the nature and the place.
Worst hotel ever ! In a short word dirty place indoor and outdoors. At the entrance you need to go through the backyards of the water factory and the staff area no space where to park Dirty pool water no option for food at the afternoon It’s just. A terrible experience that I ever had The hotel was a hospital but it still look like an old hospital The SCAM IS THE PICTURES ON THE WEBSITE NOTHING TO DO WITH REALITY
