Room is good. Bidet in the toilet is difficult to press. Service is great. I particularly commend Jezell's service when we stayed at the roof top even if they were closed during the day. The water at the beach is dirty. At first I thought the sea smelled fishy until I saw a creek/canal with lots of trash on the left side (while facing the beach) with dirty water flowing to the sea. I don't know if it is coming from the hotel or from the property beside it. We didn't dare soak our toes in the water. We ended up with a staycation instead of swimming at the beach.
We booked a 2-night stay but barely made it through the first night after three small cockroaches crawled near our bedside. 👎There were other things that didn’t meet our expectations (like the old, itchy bed sheets and hard pillows) which we tried to overlook, but the cockroaches were just too much. I hope they do something about it, because the hotel’s physical design has potential.. but what good is that if basic cleanliness is lacking? ikilemim
We stayed here last week, and I had high expectations because the rooms and amenities looked really nice in the photos. But as soon as we arrived at the entrance, the parking guard was just on his phone, and there was a car trying to exit from the lower parking area. The driver honked several times, but the guard didn’t even notice because he was focused on his phone. We were the ones who had to call his attention—even though we were standing close to him—before he finally realized there was a car coming out. Also, at the entrance, no one was there to assist us. I think they don’t even have a bellman. Then, when we got to our room, I went straight to the bathroom and noticed there were sanitary pads, toothpaste, and toothbrushes placed there with a price list beside them. Like, OMG, how cheap! Even budget hotels give those kits for free. They did have one complimentary set, but it was only for one person! Like, what? The room was for two people, but the bathroom amenities were only good for one. We were planning to have dinner there too, and there was a menu in the room—but when we checked the prices, they were way too expensive. To avoid more disappointment, we looked up reviews online about the food, and sure enough, people said the food was bland. So we just ordered dinner from outside. Even for breakfast, we ate at a nearby coffee shop that we already trust—big servings and totally worth it. We didn’t swim in the pool anymore because it didn’t look that clean, and the AC in our room wasn’t that cold either. In short, we just slept there—haha! We didn’t enjoy the stay at all.
