Centro Boutique 005 Ulm City

I'm a bit slow sharing this review, as we stayed in May, but we had such a great experience and I think the low rating of the hotel is doing it a disservice. All I can say was for us, everything was perfect. We had an easy checkin. The male receptionist was friendly but professional. He immediately asked my husband (who is English but speaks excellent German) if he would prefer to speak English or German, and my husband absolutely loves this. He really hates it when he speaks German and is answered in English, so top marks for this! Our room was fantastic. We like the decor, but most importantly it was clean, a good temperature and quiet. There's a kettle in the room too, which we used for a cup of tea. (well, we are British!) No complaints about the bathroom either. We also thought that breakfast was great. Quick and easy checkout. Alongside a great location, quiet, close to the car park and great value for money, I don't know what more you can ask for from a hotel. Our praise and thanks to the staff for making this a great visit for us. By the way, we also had a great dinner at the nearby Moroccan restaurant.

Unfriendly Staff and Poor Service My experience at this hotel was very disappointing, and I would not recommend staying here. The staff were notably unfriendly, which impacted the overall stay. After arriving at 2 a.m. due to train delays, I noticed the next day that the window in my room was broken and wouldn’t close properly, allowing cold air and noise to enter. I reported this to the front desk, but the staff member was dismissive and unhelpful. She mentioned that I should have reported the issue upon arrival, despite the late hour, and said there was nothing she could do as the maintenance team was on vacation. I requested that an external service be called, but that was also denied. When I asked for a different room since I was staying for 12 nights, I was told that wasn’t possible because I had already slept in the bed. There was no attempt to address the issue or offer any alternative solutions. Fortunately, another guest overheard the conversation and, as a carpenter, was able to assist in fixing the window himself. However, it was clear that the hotel staff had no intention of resolving the issue or providing any meaningful assistance. Overall, the lack of hospitality and basic customer service made this a very poor experience. I would not stay here again.

The only good thing about the hotel is the location close to the center. The room looks like from the 80s. They show different rooms on the internet. The bathroom is really old as well and you can find black mould. Also in the shower the hotel provides you with a variety of hair. The breakfast is okayish. No great selection nothing special but what amused me is that you get food stamps to proof you are eligible to receive breakfast
