Very Disappointed – Not a 4-Star hotel Experience I’m extremely disappointed with how this so-called 4-star hotel treats its guests. The hot tub worked halfway for only one out of our seven-day stay. The spa had a beautiful lounging area, but after our one-hour massage, we were rushed out with eye-rolling staff after just 5 minutes of tea time—completely unwelcoming. We were shocked to be expected to strip all the beds, take out the trash (with only two bags provided for 10 people for a whole week), and clean the kitchen—at a 4-star hotel! On top of that, we were charged €160 because we left the linens in the wrong place and had one dish, a fork, and a spoon drying on the rack. We were given only two dish towels for the entire stay with no laundry option. How is that acceptable? No handsoap, no dishsoap, no basic spices or oil, no shampoo or body wash and no extra toilet paper for a 7 day stay. Reception closes after 8pm? That alone says enough—nothing about this hotel justifies a 4-star rating or the price we paid. Would absolutely never stay here again.
We paid €20,000 for this place for a week — and somehow, the most frustrating part of the entire stay was checking out. This place has what they call a “checkout appointment.” That means even though your booking clearly says checkout is at 10:00 AM, you have to schedule an inspection before 10:00, where someone shows up to evaluate how well you cleaned. Yes, really. You're required to do all the dishes, take out all the trash, clean the kitchen, strip the beds, and put all the linens in the bathroom. And then they send someone in to grade your work. The guy literally walked in, looked around, shook his head, and said “this is not clean.” We had to wipe down the place in front of him just to avoid further charges. And then, despite our efforts, they still charged us €160 on the way out. After paying €20,000 for a one-week stay, you’re going to nickel-and-dime us over a garbage bag and some dishes? It's not even about the money at that point — it’s a complete lack of respect and principle. If you want guests to clean, fine. If you want to charge a cleaning fee, fine. But don’t do both — and don’t treat paying customers like they’re on probation. This was hands-down the worst checkout experience I’ve ever had, and it left a horrible final impression on what should’ve been a great trip.
We spent over $20,000 for a week-long stay with 10 people, expecting a high-end experience. What we got instead was broken amenities, rude staff, and terrible customer service. The main reason we booked this place was for the spa. Total disaster. The hot tub was ice cold—colder than the pool—and when I had a beer outside the water, a staff member charged down like a cop in an action movie, threatening to throw me out "on my ass." No warning, no polite heads-up. Just aggressive threats. I walked the entire property afterward—there is no sign anywhere saying you can’t have a drink in the spa area. They doubled down and treated me like a criminal. And get this: there is 1 small trash can the size of a milk jug hiding in a corner in the entire spa area. Nowhere to throw anything away. So if you wanted to follow their made-up rules, where exactly are you supposed to put a water bottle? Or a beer can? They leave you with no options and then threaten you when you do the only reasonable thing keep your trash with you. The hot tub worked for one day out of seven. One sauna was broken the entire time. Three of the six spa features were completely non-functional. Every excuse you can imagine. I even offered to fix it myself—I manage seven luxury rentals back in Florida. Zero effort on their part. No apology, no offer to make it right. Nothing. WiFi? Useless. Constantly drops. I was warned about that in reviews and figured they’d fixed it by now—nope. Absolute garbage. Their checkout policy is a joke. We cleaned the place spotless before leaving—stripped the beds, folded everything, cleaned for over an hour—and they still charged us 160€ for cleaning. They even sent us their photo of our neatly folded linens as “evidence.” Unreal. And if you’re not from France, good luck figuring out the recycling. There’s no clear signage in English. No instructions on how to sort trash. Nothing on the bins. Lazy setup. Other stuff: freezer door broken, fridge door sticks on the counter, microwave didn’t work until I found a diagram stuffed in a random cabinet. One day, no hot water at all. One shower backed up and flooded. Also, the apartments are tiny. We had 10 people, and two ended up sleeping in a cubby under the stairs and on a couch. Phones in the apartment and hallways don’t work at all. No instructions. No way to reach anyone. This place is not luxury. It’s falling apart, and the staff are hostile. If you care about your vacation experience—or your sanity—don’t stay here.
