What an amazing find! Beautiful apartment in a great complex with truly ski in/ski out. Accommodation was amazing, warm, clean, remarkably well equipped down to every last detail. Fantastic spa facilities, brilliant reception staff. Order next days breakfast bakery goods before 6pm and they’ll be hanging on your door the next morning by 8am. I can’t rate this place highly enough and we will definitely be back next year 🤍
We have just returned from CGH after our second visit. The location to get on the slopes and service from the staff were very good, that’s as far as it gets. The rooms are very dated and if you after a bit of luxury this is not the place. After a full day on the slopes all you want is a hot shower and a comfy sofa to sit on this was not the case the showers are cramped and pathetic the sofa was just a wooden bench with a cushion on top. We decided to have a day in the indoor heated pool, the pool was freezing, the pool locker keys were rusted and Brocken if you could find a locker with a key. As for the WiFi I know it’s nice to switch off but living in 2024 we need the WiFi sometimes but the complimentary wifi is non existent so had to spend a fortune on 4g data. This is a very basic residence.
The apartments were nothing at all like the photo they use to advertise the listing. Very tired & quite cramped would best describe them. In addition the layout of the complex - a number of buildings joined by long corridors makes getting around very inconvenient. Quite a slog to get to a boot-room & the reception (which is all locked up & not even manned in the evening!). If you are seduced by images of the hot-tub & swimming pool area forget it! The pool was too cold to be comfortable. The hot-tub was drained down for the whole duration of our stay with a sign (which looked very much like an excuse) saying there were sanitation issues. There were signs everywhere indicating that under 16's were most unwelcome, & the staff were rude, disinterested, & looked like they were not enjoying themselves. Considering that Sainte-Foy is very much based upon its family-friendly credentials this place stinks & I wouldn't dream of going near it again!
