Very friendly approach of the owner and his family, thank you. The children appreciated the garden, trampoline, etc.
+ Pleasant and relaxed owner and his father. + Plenty of toilets (3). + The owner tried to accommodate in everything. + A short walk to the pub and the playground. + A short walk to all trips. + Parking right next to the cottage. + Swimming pool that we didn't have to worry about. + New clean feather duvets. + Fridge and freezer. + Towel for each person. + Hair dryer. - It would take real photos of the cottage and the land - the owner says that the garden is shared with the owners, which is fine. However, you have to go around the owners' house to get to the garden. From the photos we understood that the garden is right in front of the cottage. From the cottage you can't see, for example, children playing in the garden. The ping-pong table is right at the owners' entrance. We tend to be noisy and competitive when playing, so we preferred not to use it. - There is no privacy at the cottage. Sitting by the fireplace is right between the cottage and the next apartment, where strangers are staying. When you sit on the porch of the cottage, you can be seen from the owners' house and the apartment next door, so there is zero privacy and another thing is the noise from the accommodation facility, but also from each other and from us, and from the main road next to the cottage, which is not only disturbing from passing trucks. In the summer, it has to be ventilated at night because of the heat, so it is not possible to close the windows. There are no nets in the windows. Furthermore, there are at least 3 cameras outside. One has to limit oneself, including children. - Lack of dishes. There are 10-11 beds in the cottage, but the dishes are very inadequate (7-9 small and large plates, no deep plates, 8 forks, 7 cutlery, 8 teaspoons. If there were 11 of us, we wouldn't have eaten at all. After every meal, we had to turn on the dishwasher, even if it wasn't full, because we wouldn't have anything to eat from later. There were enough tablets for the dishwasher. - There was a coffee machine on site, we would have welcomed at least some welcome capsules so we knew which ones to buy. - Only 1 bathroom. There was enough hot water. - Dirty oven, which smelled of burnt when first turned on. The baking paper was completely black and crumbled after taking out the food. - We would have welcomed a vacuum cleaner. - There were no replacement garbage bags available, so we had to make do with the original ones for the whole week.
Cottage for rent for weekend or (in season) weekly stays for max. 9 people. We spent a relaxing holiday week here. Not only for children, there is a swimming pool, table tennis, playground, two fireplaces, etc. The building is not suitable for those looking for absolute privacy - the garden is shared with a family house and one other rented building.
