The rooms have everything you need and more, being a spa retreat. It is unlikely you would spend much time in the room here so I wouldn’t necessarily mark an establishment like this down based on the room alone. The selection and quality of food was fantastic. Cater for all dietary requirements. The welcome from Kerri At the bar/restaurant reception was warm and hospitable. Young waiters/waitresses however didn’t show signs of inexperience, all very polite and attentive. I had a massage with Ruby, which was world class. Highly recommend. spa facilities are great. Clean and cared for. Lovely personal touches in the changing rooms.

Had a great 2 night stay at Champneys Forest Mere. Check in was smooth and the staff were very informative & helpful. The room was clean, comfy and quiet. Our treatments were wonderful, super relaxing, as were the spa facilities. The food was delicious, with lots of options for everyone. A special mention to Rizano in the spa restaurant who was very attentive and clearly takes pride in his job! Kerry in the spa restaurant was also very helpful and kind 😊 Overall we had a great time and would definitely come back!

Mixed feelings about this place. We went on a heavily discounted vitality offer. The grounds, pool and Orangery are all lovely. The rest of the hotel is extremely dated and the hotel room was poor. Comfortable beds but dated decor and the toilet and bath didn’t look particularly clean. The dinner and lunch were delicious, very impressed with the food which was healthy and tasty but the breakfast was an afterthought. Tinned fruit thrown in to bowls. Some cheap, ham and cheese, hard boiled eggs. The breakfast just didn’t live up to the other meals. Just needs more fresh fruit and some better savoury options. The service was hit and miss depending on the individual. The supervisor in the orangery forgot our drinks and food, these things happen but no apology and we had to follow up twice to get them, it wasn’t even busy. At breakfast a lady was told there were no lunch spots left, so we invited her to join our lunch booking, which ended up being ridiculous as the lunch was a buffet and lots of tables left. We would come again as for £79 per person for an overnight stay per person inc breakfast, lunch and dinner it’s a great deal. But if we had paid hundreds we would have been severely disappointed.
