Changbaishan Hotel

I booked a hotel because I wanted to go to a hot spring during my trip to Mt. Baekdu in May (a hotel I often stay at during travel agency packages). Perhaps because it was the off-season, the prices were cheap and the hot springs were really nice!! Breakfast was a bit disappointing, but overall I was very satisfied!! The staff is friendly and I recommend it :)

Usual in China,have to drag luggage through the snow 50 metres to the lobby. Room is good and clean and warm.chinese buffet for breakfast but coffee machine is available.Hotspring sauna available in the hotel. Next time I'll get a better tour group for my family of 8.

It’s a local 4* hotel. The mattresses and pillows are comfortable. The room is more hi tech than most as the curtains draw when you enter. Everything in my room works well. The room is brightly lit which is a plus. The bathroom is a bit out of place. The shower cubicle is tiny assuming everyone is as thin as a stick. I am not big and even I felt that the space was tight. Can’t imagine how a bigger person would be able to maneuver in the small space. The shower temperature keeps changing ie one minute it’s fine, then the water temperature suddenly plunges or spikes up without warning. The breakfast spread was disappointing. I didn’t eat much. There is a hot spring spa in the hotel which is a plus especially after a hard day walking up and down the mountain.
