Second time staying here. Great value, wonderful quiet location in nature, with well kept grounds and great facilities. It is an older style resort, and there are stairs to contend with. As an able bodied person this was fine for me. Both times the studio room I was given was clean, comfortable and affordable. The booking and check-in process was seamless and easy.

The good: Close to beach and you can have rooms with kitchens to cook for yourself. My room was a 1 br apartment and it was clean and had newer furniture. The forests around the resort are very cool. The bad: the dining chairs are all ripped. The bathroom faucet does not work correctly. It needs extreme force to turn it on. And it then dripped all night long and there is no door on the sink between the bed and the sink so you can’t sleep all night. . The bedroom door does not close properly to the patio. The washing machine worked but the dryer was old and its door was broken so I was left with wet clothes and had to air dry them outside Also, if you have luggage, you will have to climb up a few stairs. We had to climb up three levels with our suitcases. I hope they give some compensation for this experience. The Wyndham next door is new and has a 2 night minimum which is actually what you need here. It’s a cool spot.

We did not have a pleasant experience during our stay at this resort. We initially booked for two nights, but unfortunately had to check out the very next morning due to the condition of the room. Upon arrival, we found the room to be in an unacceptable state, with multiple hygiene concerns including cobwebs, insects, and visible dust—well beyond what one would reasonably expect, even at a coastal property. We reported our concerns to staff on the evening of check-in, but were informed that no housekeeping services were available and the resort was fully booked. The only option presented to us was to either stay or leave, which left us with no real choice given we had travelled from Sydney. As no resolution was provided by the time we checked out at 9:30am the next morning, we decided to leave. We had documented the condition of the room with photos and video and followed up via text, call, and email. Under these circumstances, we believe a refund for at least one night was entirely reasonable. We were disappointed to learn that no refund would be offered, with the resort stating they were not given an opportunity to rectify the issue—despite our prompt communication and clear documentation. This review is intended not just to reflect our personal experience, but to encourage the resort management to take into consideration similar concerns raised by other guests. Service consistency and guest satisfaction should be a top priority, not left to chance. We hope this feedback is taken constructively and used to improve the overall guest experience moving forward.
