We stayed here last weekend. The pool facilities were great. We had our toddler, and she loved the two small kids pools. We had dinner at the hotel bar as the restaurant was closed. The food was very good, and the feather blade of beef was top notch. Staff were also pleasant. We stayed in the Munster suite, very large room. The only issue was no fridge in the room, and the a/c was broken on a very hot day. Overall, we had a lovely stay and will return when in the Charleville area in the future.
We stayed 2 nights to visit family. I'm afraid to say since our last stay the quality of the furnishings in our standard room was sadly lacking. Clean yes, but tired, scruffy and soft furnishings grubby. Used to have lovely cushions and luxury touches. Water bottle in room is not sealed so no idea how often it's refreshed. Don't bother if you can't afford to supply sealed containers. Breakfast - whilst included, isn't what it was. No vegetarian option except, beans, eggs, hash browns. Only fried eggs offered. Sadly needing a refurb to make it a 4 star and what it once was. Some staff looked miserable and one breakfast server quite surly and rude. Other staff jolly and helpful. We came from a 4 Star hotel to the Charleville and I'm afraid the difference in quality was like night and day.
Visited today and ordered a simple Toasted Ham Special. The sandwich was burned till the crust was black. Salad had no dressing. Coleslaw looked as if had seen better days. The chips saved my hunger. A glass of mile was given to me with a huge crack down a third of the way. Was afraid to finish the milk in case of a chip of glass at the bottom. This used to be a lovely spot with a great carvery lunch. And yes.....I did complain and I did pay. Won't be rushing back.
