Chateau Appony

Our stay at Chateau Appony in February 2023 was a delightful experience. The staff were exceptional—lovely, attentive, and quick to respond to any needs. The rooms were not only immaculate but also elegantly furnished, creating a serene and inviting atmosphere. Each room was spotless, with everything meticulously clean and wonderfully fragrant. The attention to detail in the room's decor and cleanliness truly enhanced our comfort. The location of Chateau Appony is perfect for a peaceful retreat. Situated not too far from Bratislava, it offers a tranquil environment with no noise or disturbances, ensuring the best night’s sleep. It’s an ideal spot for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The food at the hotel was superb, complemented by excellent wine and decent beer. The pool and jacuzzi were exceptionally clean, adding to the luxurious feel of the stay. However, the afternoon tea selection was somewhat limited, with a small variety of cakes that were not particularly impressive. More options would have been appreciated. Parking was convenient with plenty of free spaces available. The hotel is also well-positioned for a short 45-minute hike to the nearby castle ruins, offering scenic views. Additionally, there is a charming church nearby and other restaurants accessible by car. Overall, Chateau Appony is a perfect winter or autumn retreat, combining outstanding service, pristine accommodations, and a serene setting for an unforgettable stay.

I stayed at Chateau Appony for a business trip and it was a brilliant experience! The rooms exceeded our expectations, they were clean, well furnished and absolutely massive. We had dinner on one of the nights and the food was delicious. The only criticism was the wait time as it took a while for the food to be served. I can't fault anything else, we will be returning when in the area again.

It was a mixed experience, we booked two rooms (understand over 300€ per night) and upon our arrival the receptionist was not helpful at all, borderline rude, without explaining the key details of the available services and seemed bothered when we tried to inquire. The rooms are nice, quite basic, but lovely, the breakfast was very well served. The wellness center opens at 5pm which seems a bit late. The beautiful library that belongs to the hotel is a must see, however the additional entrance of 16€ per person for a 25 minute visit seemed a bit of a stretch, and should absolutelly be included for the hotel guests in the accommodation. That was another sad surprise. But the library is beautiful!
